Case Study: Returning to Golf After a Major Elbow Injury
Our journey began in 2012, shortly after he shattered his elbow and required surgery. The arm was stiff, weak, and he was unsure about returning to golf, skiing, cycling, or even the physical demands of gardening.
We rebuilt the elbow slowly and methodically, restoring strength through the wrist, forearm, rotation, pushing, and pulling while continuing to train the rest of his body. An old back injury was always part of the picture, so core stability, mobility, balance, and whole-body strength remained part of nearly every program.
Over the years, his needs have changed and the training has changed with him. We have adapted around back issues and medical procedures without allowing those challenges to define what he could still do.
Today, at 68, he is still skiing several times a year, golfing, cycling, gardening, traveling, working, and staying active with family and friends.
The goal was never simply to make him better at exercising. We train so he can keep being himself.
